Adelmo Estacado is the Darkness wielder in 1912. He died before he could manifest the full power of the Darkness, but he did possess superhuman strength and clairvoyant dreams when he turned twenty-one.
Early Life[]
Adelmo was born in March of 1892. He was conceived when his father was raping his mother while carving his name into her chest with a piece of glass. His mother recovered and married an abusive alcoholic named Julian.
As a teenager he got a full-time job at an oil rig owned by Martin Cayce. He fell in love with Cayce's daughter, Emma, who became his fiance in secret.
The Darkness: Close Your Eyes []
Adelmo is a rig worker who lives with his catatonic mother and abusive step-father. His twenty-first birthday is but three days away and he is due to be married to the daughter of his boss.
Powers & Abilities[]
Adelmo impregnated Emma before he could manifest the full power of the Darkness. However, his twenty-first birthday did allow him some raw Darkness power.
- Superhuman Strength: Upon turning twenty-one Adelmo's strength increased to the point where he could easily overpower his step-father.
- Precognition: Adelmo could see the future through his dreams.
